The staff were helpful, always
Ready to provide tips and assistance. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though the noise from the outside street did disrupt our sleep at times. The location is perfect for exploring and enjoying local restaurants.

Breakfast with hot options and omelettes, as for instance. The rooms with a balcony and the bedroom, for example. Marvellous and beautiful location in very quiet area, close enough to the main Corviglia ski area, the Coviglio funicular and the ski bus, and the center of the old town.
Wi-Fi was pretty slow.

Sky Bar Views Worth the Trip
As I sipped my cocktail at the Sky Bar, the fine view of the lake and mountains. The attentive staff elevated our experience.
While the breakfast was enjoyable, a wider variety of fruits and cereals would have made it even better. It felt a bit limited for my taste.

The breakfast was excellent for what was on offer with omelettes and hot options, for example. The room I booked was generous-sized and luxurious with a balcony, amazing view, for instance. Location: the hotel was very close to ski lifts, the shops and gondola and the sky bar and spa, and the Coviglio funicular and the ski bus...

+Location in the middle of the pedestrian zone (and still very quiet in the room). +room upgrade. +Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. +Selection and quality of the breakfast buffet . +View of the lake from the wellness area
- Lack of knowledge of German in the evening in the restaurant. - stairs at the entrance and to the restaurant (and no elevator); help is needed for strollers (but the staff is very helpful)

Our stay at Hotel Monopol was wonderful. The Hotel pickup from the station was heaven sent. The close proximity of the hotel to the ski train was so convenient. Our original room was one of the more classical rooms and my husband and I preferred the more modern rooms. Elisa at reception accommodated our desire to move to one of the more modern rooms and booked us into one as soon as one was available. The gym facillities were great and though we did not use the spa, the option to do so was appealing. The breakfast was great and the availability of soy milk on request was very much appreciated. Without a doubt though it was Fausto at the bar who made our stay! His professionalism, kind manner and delicious cocktails will not be forgotten.

The staff was very friendly and uncomplicated. We got a better room without having asked. The location is very central, one is very fast in the ski area or in the restaurants. The car was fetched very quickly.

Excellent location, only a 5 minute walk from the station and right in the centre with all the shops, restaurants and bars around and just 5 minutes from the ski lift. The staff were excellent and attentive. The spa was lovely with a brilliant hot tub with a view of the church tower, lake and mountains. The perfect end to a day skiing. THe ski room was good, bed very comfy and breakfast delicious.
